From 1994 to 2000 Bob Evans Homestead held an invitational quilt show. Nine quiltmakers who won “People’s Choice” at these shows have been invited to this year’s invitational. Two West Virginia Quilters, Inc. members, Evelyn Miller and Mary Parsons, are among the four West Virginia quiltmakers who are exhibiting work. |

The Highland Stars Quilter’s Guild in Moorefield, Hardy County, creates the annual quilt show for Heritage Weekend. This year the theme for the show is “Quilts from the Highland Stars.” The exhibit is held at the Moorefield Elementary School. The show will have quilts made by members of the Highland Stars Quilter’s Guild with Jonie Wolfe the featured quilter. Quilts loaned to the Guild for the show and the Hoffman fabric contest quilts from the traveling exhibit also will be shown. There will be approximately 130 quilts in the exhibit and it is considered a highlight of the annual County wide event.
Hours — Friday: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Saturday — 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday — 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
Admission is $1.00.

This event is sponsored by Harrison County Landmark Commission (President, Connie Poe) along with the Harrison County Commission. General Stonewall Jackson was born in Clarksburg and he and other generals of both the North and the South will be in full persona for “The Meeting of the Civil War Generals” during the event.
