General sewing/quilting supplies including:
- a cutting surface of at least 12"-14"
- a pressing surface. A small pressing surface of at least 12" will be large enough.
- small iron for personal use
- cutting edge at least 12" in length with a 45 degree marking
- rotary cutter
- scissors for handwork
- straight pins
- one light and one dark thread to match your fabrics
- sewing machine with 1/4" foot attachment
- fabrics: For 1 block, which is what we will be making in class, you will need 1/4 yard of one light, one dark (background) and one colored (basket) fabric. You may wash your fabrics if you wish. When pressing take care not to press the fabric out of shape. Remember to press, not iron. the fabrics
- fabric marking device to mark on the fabric you have selected to use for background
- Optional: 1 1/2" half-square triangle paper (this is not needed to successfully complete the project)

The completed quilt will be approximately 74" x 74". You will need to purchase a pattern as instructed in the class description. Patterns and many beautiful reproduction fabrics will be available at the Quilt Shoppe on Main Street in Summersville. Patterns may also be purchased at
