Meeting, Log Cabin Quilters’ Guild & Quilters at Heart |
WV Quilters, Inc. meets at least three times a year at various locations around the state in April, July and October. Local guilds act as the host for the meetings, working with the Executive Committee to coordinate information and work out details for guest speakers, workshops and vendors. |
Your guild could host a Meeting!
Please consider hosting a future meeting of WV Quilters. The host’s responsibilities are:
- Arrange for a meeting location. It's hard to tell how many will attend the meeting, but we usually have between 50-100 members. West Virginia Quilters, Inc will pay the fee for the meeting location.
- Volunteers to run the reception desk. This involves handing out nametags and getting attendees to sign in. This is very important for door prizes later.
- Arrange for a speaker or program. West Virginia Quilters, Inc will again pay any costs associated with this.
- Possibly invite local vendors to attend. These can be quilt shops and other related vendors. We do not charge a fee to the vendors but usually ask them to donate a small door prize. A white elephant table with quilting or sewing items could be a money maker for the host guild.
- Provide refreshments. These can be just snacks and beverages.
